We were hesitant to begin the process of house hunting after friends of ours felt pressured to buy and ended up regretting their purchase months later. We were suspicious of real estate agents. By chance we found Dave who acted more like a friend who had the time and expertise to educate us all about real estate. Even after buying the house, we still call Dave for recommendations on insurance, a locksmith, etc.
Also, I like that he's involved in Reston planning committees. He can give us the scoop on Reston politics!

Hi Dave,
I just wanted to drop you a note and say thanks for doing a great job
helping my family and I get settled in the area. You were very
supportive and responsive to us, especially through the three week
ordeal with the "other agent". You know, the one who didn't answer
his phone or return phone calls? His client, my would-be landlord,
lost business because of his him. You kept a level head, tried to
encourage him (eventually even tried going through his broker!) to be
more responsive, and kept me continually informed. We talked three or
four times a day those three weeks. It was late Saturday evening when
we reviewed the incomplete lease the other agent returned to us, and
my wife and I decided to cancel it and move on. You made time in your
schedule to meet us early Sunday morning and took us on another rental
tour in the area. We picked one and you helped expedite the
application process and we had a signed lease three days later!
Without the lease we wouldn't have been able to register our cars, get
drivers licenses, schedule delivery of our household goods, and enroll
our children in school. With your support all of those happened
before the new school year began. Thanks again!

I just want to drop you a line to share our appreciation. This was my first experience buying a home and I sure am glad I found you. Before you, I had spoken with 2 other realtors and gave them a shot. I don’t know if I am too demanding or what, but being able to contact my realtor was very important to me and when it was taking 1-2 days to get a call back I dropped them. You on the other hand answered my calls while you were at dinner, engaged at parties, or late in the evening, once I believe after 11. You were always very accommodating and patient, detailed with your explanations, and eager to find us a home but not too eager where you were trying to push us into something that we didn’t want or didn’t suit us. We learned so much from you and developed confidence in your abilities to steer us right. I compared my experience with one realtor, who really all he did was open the door, to you, who was crawling around the back of the water heater and furnace to see the dates, thoroughly inspecting the whole home, pointing out issues with siding and roofs from 2nd story windows, trim here, carpet there, that ceiling that just had to go, or the promise that this home had that that one didn’t. Working with you was such a stark difference than “the other guy”. You took the time and listened so that you understood what it was, exactly, that we wanted/needed, and was honest enough to tell us when we were short selling ourselves or looking for too much out of a home. Some of the many things you did to earn out trust. I can’t say thank you enough. Best part, even after your “job” was done, you didn’t quit. We’ve gotten a gift basket, cards, and many calls and emails. I mean this when I say it, if you are still in the business, I will never use another realtor…I’ve found the best!

Let me tell you about my experience with Dave King as my Realtor!
My 1 bedroom condo was on the market with another realtor for 6 months with hardly even a phone call.
Then Dave King was recommended to me by my sister. We spoke few words and Dave knew just what to do.
Since it was November, I was dreadfully thinking that I may have to take my condo listing off the market. Dave gave his expert advice and made me feel like there was hope to sell in this seemingly hopeless market. He captured the essence of my condo with professional photos, listed it with a description that fit to a tee and we talked nearly every day! He patiently walked me through the process. He was always reassuring and comforting.
